White flowers, mint, crushed rocks and white orchard fruit all come to life in the 2009 Extra Brut Blanc d’Argile (Chardonnay), a wine that manages to be light on its feet yet rich, deep and resonant. With time in the glass, the Blanc d’Argile gains focus as its pure, crystalline minerality becomes increasingly evident. This is an especially vivid wine endowed with tons of pure Chardonnay fruit supported by vibrant, chiseled minerality and structure. Vouette et Sorbee’s Blanc d’Argile remains one of the most beautiful and distinctive wines in Champagne. Disgorgement date: February 7, 2012. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. |

The 2008 Blanc d’Argile (Chardonnay) is stunningly beautiful. It possesses fabulous energy from start to finish.
Pears, peaches, white flowers and crushed rocks are all woven into a rich
tapestry loaded with personality and sheer class. Sweet, perfumed notes
linger on the finish. The Blanc d’Argille is an intensely mineral wine
that needs quite a bit of air to show at its best. This is Lot 5-11-10
