Although closed, the dark plum/ruby-colored
2001 Pinot Noir Isabelle Morgan
reveals spicy
oak characteristics, building
incrementally
in the mouth. It appears to be
the most seriously
endowed, concentrated, and structured
of
the ABC Pinots. Plum, fig, sweet
cherry,
and pomegranate aromas intermingle
with scents
of vanilla, earth, and spice
in this well-made,
dense, muscular yet pure 2001.
Give it 1-2
years of cellaring, and drink
it over the
following decade. |
